See it in our eyes

I have been wanting to let you see just where "our special place" is. I enjoy time outside. I remember being outside more than inside when I was little. I have always enjoyed nature and all it brings. Some areas are magical, and not every one can ever see that. Magic is in your heart and mind, and is more than all, in God's hands. We went away for the weekend, and went to Cades Cove in Tennessee. We had been in the car for what felt like hours. The line of cars and trucks was long and went on for what looked like forever. We got out and took a walk, of course it was cold and I left my coat in the car. That seems to happen more than I can tell you about. We walked and looked at an old home place, visited with the deer on the way in and back. They were at peace. It was like they had no fear in the surroundings. We had made it almost back to the car and then walked up the river. It was beautiful! We took pictures to share our moment with everyone. I learned he can keep a secret from me! I was really shocked and amazed. Totally caught off guard. This picture was taken looking at the river and area around us when we became "engaged".

December really is busy

Well now that Christmas is over and the new year is almost here we would love to relax, but there is still so much to do. I hate we have not been on here in so many days, but holidays and buying a house all at the same time keep you on your feet. Emma had SO much fun with all the family she has and the love that they share with her. We should know more on the house this week, and hope to sign in the next 2 weeks or sooner. Will let you know. My dress is here for the wedding and I got to try it on yesterday for the first time. WOW!!!!! It is more than I imagined and so beautiful! I can't wait for you all to see it. Now... just looking for the right shoe for this dress, and for me. Not really into the "dressie" shoes you normally see. Will keep trying. Invitations to make, flowers to design, tux to pick out, shoes to find, time is counting now....September is just around the corner.

Going to have to cut this one short... going to look for shoes on the way to spend holiday time with family today. Wish me luck!

Just starting

Well... here we are starting another site and still have the original under construction. I am not sure where to begin, but I guess the beginning is probably the best. Shane and I been together for 2 years, became engaged on October 18 2008 and have set a wedding date for September 26 2009. We have put alot of time and thought into planning already, and have so many decisions that have been made. The wedding will be held on a friend's land that is absolutely beautiful with the reception there also. Outdoors, and with so much nature around you, there is no place more perfect for what we want. I have picked out my dress, and it was not even on my list to try on. I have been dealing with David's Bridal in Asheville, and Catherine has been great! I recommend them to everyone. She helped me and spent time trying on around 12 dresses, then wanted me to try on the ones she brought with no questions. I was open to the challenge. The first one was THE ONE! I ordered my dress in November, and WOW... it was here last week! I picked up my dress today and was so excited. It has took my breath away, even though I knew what to expect. I can't wait for everyone to see it. We have picked out the invitations and will be making them, which makes every one special.
